Taraba: NSCDC Commandant urges Officers to uphold Federal Trust in Promotions

The Taraba State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has encouraged recently promoted officers to embrace their new roles and meet the government’s expectations.

During the decoration ceremony for these officers in Jalingo, the state commander, Adamu Salihu, emphasized seizing the opportunity presented by the promotions.

The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the Federal Government’s approval of promotions for 21,385 NSCDC personnel, with over three hundred beneficiaries in Taraba State. Salihu acknowledged this significant promotion, attributing it to the efforts of NSCDC’s Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who prioritized ending stagnation and delays in promotions.

“This is an unprecedented mass promotion in the Corps,” Salihu noted, urging the newly promoted officers to reciprocate by displaying dedication and selfless service in their duties.

The state governor, Agbu Kefas, conveyed his delight through the Secretary to the Government of the State, Barrister Gebon T. Kataps. Kefas assured continued support from the state government to bolster the effectiveness of the NSCDC within the state.
