American rapper and singer Lil Durk, also known as Durk Derrick Banks, has announced his intentions to organize a free concert in Nigeria.
Initially slated to perform at a Lagos event in December, the ‘All My Life’ artist didn’t appear, but he clarified via his X handle that the absence wasn’t his fault.
Expressing his affection for Nigeria, Lil Durk assured his Nigerian fans of a free concert soon to make up for missing the previous event.
In his message, he wrote: “Even if it wasn’t my fault [for missing the December event], I’ll do a free show for Nigeria. You all are my family, I’ve got you forever.”
Lil Durk holds a significant fan base among Nigerian youths, particularly Gen Z. His latest track ‘All My Life,’ featuring J.Cole, swiftly climbed to number one on Apple Music Nigeria within just 24 hours of its release.
